Story
Hello,
Thanks so much for visiting my fund raising page.
Yes, I'm back again asking you for your money - and in this horrible credit crunch I think it might be a struggle!?... but its for a good cause, and I personally run in memory of the best two people I have ever had the privilege to have known. So my trainers are going back on and I'm hoping you may be generous enough to please sponsor me for this important charity.
I think most of you know by now that I run in memory of my much-loved and greatly missed mum and dad, Joan and John Bradley. I was lucky enough to have had fantastic and supportive parents, but we lost them both far too soon.
I couldn't have had a better dad. He bravely fought a four-year battle against cancer - undergoing several operations, and months of radiotherapy. We sadly lost him on 20 March 2003.
My mum became unwell early in 2007 and underwent tests in Addingbrooks on what we were told was an "innocent looking" cyst. Me and my sister were with my amazingly brave mum when doctors told her the growth was inoperable - and we were with her when she passed away shortly after 3 am on Wednesday 11 July 2007.
Cancer took our family to hell - and its done the same to many other people. I think of my mum and dad every day and I know life can never be as good without them. If the Race for Life can help one person not to have to go through similar heartache in their own family, it's worthwhile - and lets hope we can beat this thing together.
If you're lucky enough to still have your parents, please tell them today that you love them!
YOU generously sponsored me an amazing...£245 in 2006, £217 in 2007 and £402 in 2008. Every penny counts and a very small donation really goes a long way.
So please dig deep and sponsor me on line!
Many thanks,
Wendy x
