We did it!!!

A big thank you to those of you that have sponsored us.  We had an amazing day, we had a few little hiccups along the way, my mother-in-law unfortunately fell over and sprained her ankle so couldn't complete it, thank you Anne for staying with her, lets hope next year both of them can cross the finishing line with us.  It was a great team effort and can't wait to do it again next year. 

In October last year I went for my routine smear test which resulted in finding out that I had cervical cancer.  With two children at 4 years and 2 years old and being told that they don't know how long I had to live, I was not in a good place.  But thanks to my Gynacologist, my Consultant, my husband, family and friends, I have had a radical hysterectomy and I am now on the road to recovery.  

My girls, Sofie and Hollie are joining me on this, along with my mum, sister, my sister-in-laws and my mother-in-law who were a massive support to me whilst fighting cancer.  

Events like Race for Life are vital in funding Cancer Research UK's life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. By sponsoring us, we can unite and create a force that cancer can't ignore.
