** A HUGE thank you to anyone who has donated. I managed the full 10K in 1 hour and 6 minutes and have doubled my fundraising total thanks to your support. Thank you!!**
My Mum hated running.
She didn't see the point and avoided it at all costs. In fact, I don't think I ever saw her run. She would also hate me making a fuss like this. However, she did believe in striving to achieve the best you could and always said that I could achieve whatever I set my mind to. So I have set my sights on 10K...
I hadn't planned to do another Race for Life this year, but a family friend decided to take part in memory of Mum and I thought we could support each other. However, the fundraising relies on your generosity and I know that people send out emails like this all the time, and for challenges much greater than a 10K, but I truly believe that every pound is vital in helping to diagnose and treat cancer as quickly as possible to help more people survive.
So please, even if you can only spare a pound, could you please sponsor me in my Race for Life this year. I am trying to beat my total from last year but I am so grateful for any donation. It will be an emotional run for me so any support would be most welcome, and please feel free to come and run alongside me on the day!
Finally, please remember that if you are a UK taxpayer, please tick the Gift Aid box when donating as this will increase your donation by at least 25% at no cost to you.
Many thanks for your support and a big thank you to those who have helped me recently.
