Cancer is a disease that can effect anyone. It does not have any preference to gender,  age or colour. It changes a person on many levels It not only changes you physically but it changes you mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Once you have experienced cancer your never the same again. It is not only the person with the disease that is effected its the family and friends.The uncertainty that the disease causes and the fear of losing is horrendous. I never thought it would effect someone i love but it has and it has changed me and i will never look at the world the same again. we often go through life from day to day doing the things we have always done then you get a big surprise and your whole life has changed forever.

         I am doing this run for someone i love very much, to raise money and awareness. However i could have just donated money but i want to run in the race for life . I want to run because every step of the way is my way of showing my love to the person in my family who is effected by this awful disease. i am not a great runner and have health conditions myself, however every step i run however painful or hard is my own personal prove to my loved one of my unending love and my promise to walk this journey with them however long it takes or wherever we end up with this.

This is not only dedicated to the person who has this awful disease now but also to my love ones who didnt make it but who are still very much in our hearts and thoughts. And i know they will be running spiritually with me on the day pushing me on. 

also this race for life is for those who will suffer this disease in the future. so we are raising money so maybe we can save them.
