Once again, this year, myself and my sister Emily are running the Race for Life Hull in memory of our very special and brave "No.1" Mum who passed away to her 5 year fight against ovarian cancer on 22nd December 2006 and who is still very much missed every day. Taking part in this race is just a small way in which we can help those people in the same situation as ourselves, but also those people who shouldn’t have to go through what we’ve been through over the last few years.

Events like the Race for Life are an important way in which Cancer Research is able to fund its life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer.
