I am running the race for life for the second time. In 2009 I ran the race for life for the first time to support my Nan, my Nannie June.

June was diagnosed with cancer early 2008, she had cancer of the bile duct. June made excellent progress with chemotherapy and other treatments and it even went into remission so to celebrate I decided to run the race for life.

In June 2009 my friend Tanita and I ran the Race for Life in Bournemouth with my Nan watching me every step of the way, I made a promise to her that day - that I would run the Race for Life every year and she will be there to see me run it in 2010.

My Nans cancer came back and she died on 29th August 2009, she wasn’t able to see me run the 2010 Race for Life, so i didn’t run it.

But now - this year I am ready to run the Race for Life for her and supporting me in the Race will be my Mum (June’s daughter) and my Sister and i know she will be there.
