UPDATE:
JUNE 7th - the DAY!!! Just back from the race, did it in 25'45 which will be my personal best (well, i don't know any other, as i didn't complete a 5k during training..!) That's us on the picture, just before the start! Thanks very much to everyone who sponsored us and donated for Cancer Research. Everybody will have their personal reasons for doing it. I did it for all future cancer survivers.
May 10th - for the last month took light training - jogging at the weekends, walking at workdays. 4 weeks to go!
April 7th - a rest day, was giving blood. Nearly fainted :)) but didn't! Not bad for the first time! 2 months exactly till the Race for Life!
April 6th - just ran a short circle after work, taking it easy and eating iron-containing food to keep the iron level high for tomorrow!
April 5th - for the first time ran the usual 2.9km without much trouble - and no pain afterwards! Woo-hoo!
April 4th - jogged with my daughter, a shorter distance - as she was out of breath! Hoping to beat the youth at the race! She is not training much - obviously thinks she doesn't need it!
April 1st - did 2.9 km again, in 16 min :) Not too bad! Feeling great after it.
March 31st - not running, just walking in the hope to bring the muscles back to life.
March 30th - it's painful to walk! Thighs are like lead, nearly fell on the stairs at work.
March 29th - the muscles are sore!! Ran against a strong wind and pain, a shorter distance..
March 28th - ran my first circle of 2.9km. Didn't stop but didn't check the time..
Many thanks for your support – Together we will beat cancer.
