Story
Hey Dudes and Dudettes,
Firstly thank you very much for taking the time to visit my page. I really do appreciate it.
This is my second year taking part in the Race For Life and I am more excited than last year!!!
As most of you may know I’m not really the long distant runner nor am I a runner for that matter either, so this just goes to show how much this charity means to me.
In recent years I have seen Cancer effecting more people and more families of all ages, and it’s not until it gets closer to home is when you realise how hard and emotionally challenging it can be. It’s even harder when you realise there is not much you can do as a relative to who is diagnosed. However, that is where Cancer Research UK is fantastic. Their constant hard work and dedication reassures more cancer patients that there research and breakthroughs on new medication will help fight the disease.
So if during my training I pull a muscle (which is more likely going to be the case) or I wake up the next day after the race and realise I can not physically move it will all be worth it to know that when I crossed the finish line at the race, the agonising run (which it is) will help save a life.
So please please please donate whatever you can, whether it is little or a lot it will all contribute to Cancer Research UK and help save a life.
Thank you soooo much in advance and if you are free on the day of the race come down and show your support to all the participants.
Many thanks,
Monique ‘Usain Bolt’ Joseph
