We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer
Story
My Grandad was probably the person who inspired me the most to always be myself, to take every opportunity and never to give up. He followed my dream of becoming a musician with me and was always the one to bring me back down to earth and remind me that family was everything.
In September 2011 he passed away after fighting prostate cancer for about a year.
He still lives in me everyday and I often think of him in times of self-doubt. He meant so much to me and my family.
He also went for a morning walk every single morning without fail and when he was younger, runs. He was really into sport and was at as many jambo games as he could manage! He even played for the Hearts Junior team.
I think it would make him proud to see me doing the race for life and raising money and awareness in the help to fight cancer.
So get giving and get fighting!
Every little helps :)
