Jenna and I have taken part in the Race for Life for the past 4-years.  It has always been a good laugh, great atmosphere and a time to remember those friends and family that we have lost to this terrible disease and because as the saying goes "you never know".  

This year though we Race for my nan and my dad who have both been diagnosed with cancer  The last couple of months have been a tough and sad time and many tears have been shed and I am in no doubt that there will be many more to fall in the months to come but there is a fantastic support group out there of which St. Claires Hospice is one of them.

Cancer is a terrible disease in any shape of form and it affects not only the patient but all their family around them. I could never imagine how hard it was to watch your loved ones as this terrible disease takes hold.  It is hard very hard and the next few months are going to be a test for all my family.

Please sponsor Jenna and I for the Race for Life 2011. This last time last year we did it for fun, a way to raise some money.    This year we do it because my family will need St Claires and all the good things they do and because like me last year "YOU NEVER KNOW".
