As many of you will be aware 12 months ago my mum was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Though she fought it well in typical Fiona style and fulfilled some of her wishes like going back to the Isle of Mull one more time and seeing Andrea Bocelli live, she passed away early this year.

This year I am completing the race for life not only in her memory but also to raise funds for an important charity so that in future people like my mum can have their disease caught at an early stage when it is still curable. My mum spent a lot of her life raising money for the charities and causes she believed in, this is my chance to carry on where she left off.
