We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer

Story

Sadly, on Friday 27th May 2011 our dear friend Alison Moore lost her battle with cancer and passed away.

We were already signed up to run Race for Life in her honour but now it seems even more poignant and important that we see it through and raise as much money as possible.

It will be an emotional day for us all, as I know it is for many women across the country who have lost loved ones to cancer or who are running on behalf of those who are currently battling to survive it, but it will be worthwhile if we can raise lots of money towards such an important cause that effects so many of our lives.

The cause is even more important to me as my own sister, Amanda battled cancer 5 years ago and was recently given the 'all clear' after a long, hard battle. This is why I know how important such events are and how worthwhile it is to do our small bit.

So this is for Amanda and, more poignantly, for Alison who was not so fortunate.
