The Royal Free London LGBTQAI+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, asexual and intersex) Network was established in March 2014. Since February 2017, we have invited our friends (allies) to join the network.

The aim of the LGBTQ+ & Friends Network is to:

• provide advice and guidance to RFL in its policy making
• provide advice and guidance to RFL on the general wellbeing of LGBTQ+ employees
• provide a space for discussion on various issues raised by staff and the Trust to improve the working environment
• foster and promote a safe, respectful and inclusive environment for LGBTQ+ staff, patients and visitors, linking in with our world class care values
• To offer support to LGBTQ+ Staff.

This staff network feeds back into the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Staff Group on all matters pertaining to LGBTQ+ diversity and equity of care.
