We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer
Story
In February this year I started Running. When I started I could only manage to run a minute or two at a time but I kept at it until I could run 5k, something I never thought I would be able to achieve.
Throughout the many hours that I have spent out on my own running, I always hoped that I would be able to register for the Race for life so that I could raise money for Cancer research UK in memory of my Good friend Sue who lost her life to cancer just three weeks after she became ill. She was 43 years old and left behind two young sons.
I am also running in memory of my Grandma Mary P who we lost in 1999. Thoughts of my Grandma and her wonderful sense of humour make me laugh out loud when I am tired and running. Thankfully I inherited her stuborn determination which keeps me going.
Finally I am running for my own four Girls, for their future. They have always given me so much encouragment to keep on running and they will be there cheering for me on the big day
I have chosen to run the 10k race (eeek ! ) which is going to be really tough for me, but with your support I am determined to do it !
Please make a donation even if it is only for £1, every penny really does make a difference.
