Story
A message from Joanne:
"Sally and I have both lost our mums to cancer in the last twelve months. The loss is deep and difficult to understand, so we have decided to do something positive and raise some money to fight cancer.
Mum died in May last year, 13 months after having being diagnosed with sarcoma. Sadly she didn't get to meet Sophie who was born two months later. Mum was very kind, thoughtful, funny and most importantly to me the most perfect mum I could ask for. I miss Mum terribly, as do many others.
I am also running for my father-in-law Bob and my Auntie Carol. This is for all of you"
A message from Sally:
"My lovely mum Brenda aged 66 years was diagnosed with Bile Duct Cancer in February 2010. Sadly, after a terrible eleven months she lost her fight in January 2011. I have enjoyed running the race in previous years but this year will be walking due to being nearly 8 months pregnant and having my 1 year old, her only grandchild in tow!"
