Our training blog...

19/06/11

Tutus - check; water bottles - check; free packets of bodyform as a reward(!) - check :-) We're all done!!! 5k in 40 minutes, a record for us both. Very proud to have achieved it and very proud to have been part of the event. Thanks to all!_____________________________________________________

It's race day!!!! If you're free, come along and cheer us on :-) Hope to see you there.

Huge thanks to our families and friends for all your support - you're all brilliant and have helped us smash our sponsorship target! A massive THANK YOU to all :-)

We have done some training - promise! A couple of jogs this week, at Saltram and at Burrator :-) And of course it's the big day tomorrow! Come along and see us in our pink tutus tomorrow, courtesy of Lou's mum who has done a great job making them - thanks Jill, you're a star :-)

Not long to go now - planning a jog today but haven't decided where yet! Better step up this training plan with less than three weeks to the big day!

Another swim - thanks to Lou and Gemma for showing Jo some better swimming techniques! It's all counting towards getting fitter for the big race!

A swim tonight - Lou has decided she should swim 5k! Watch this space for her future sponsorship efforts! (It would take Jo all day to swim 5k!)

A gentle jog around Saltram today - we blame the rain!

10/05/11

Another trip round the reservoir - Jo managed to jog the whole way (albeit not especially fast!) and we were both quicker - 47 minutes today!

08/05/11

We went around Burrator Reservoir today as part of our training! It's about 3.5 miles and we got round in 50 minutes - it's the time to beat!
