Hi guys,

So whilst 'revising' I decided on a whim to enter the Race For Life. For a while now I've been thinking about doing something to raise money for a Cancer charity but was not sure what then I decided on this.

You see, I learnt two weeks ago that my nan (the lady with me on the left) has been diagnosed with breast cancer and it was at that moment my world fell apart. Whilst I clearly acknowledge the commoness of cancer it's true what they say, you don't think it will happen to you or your family let alone someone who has had to deal with so much in previious years already. She has had a masectomy and hopefully, God willing, will ,ake a full recovery but instead of brushing the issue under the carpet so to speak I decided to raise money for Cancer reseach. Not to raise awareness of it but, in a way to thank my Nana for being there for me for 18 years and hopefully many more. I cannot cure her or anyone else but, by raising money, in some small way I might be able to ease someone's life in the future.
