After the success of the Homer family Race for Life last year - we plan to do it again - and try to beat our combined record of 59 minutes and 3 seconds (pretty impressive for the little ones we thought?)
Cancer Research UK is a cause close to all of our hearts, and we are running in memory of Lynne's Dad (and the others Grandad / Great Grandad John), Libby's mother-in-law (Daisy's Nanny Carol) and everyone we know who has been affected by cancer.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us - Cancer Research UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you (and if you are a higher rate tax payer, you can get a deduction when you fill in your tax return - sorry, typical accountants!!). If you would prefer the more traditional paper sponsorship form then please contact one of us directly. We don't mind how we take your money, as long as Cancer Research UK benefit.
Events like Race for Life are vital in funding Cancer Research UK’s life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. By sponsoring us now you can help more people survive cancer.
Every pound you donate really does make a difference – so please sponsor us now!
Many thanks for your support – Together we will beat cancer.

P.S. Don't think that Hazel has been forgotten this year - she and her husband, along with Libby, Charlotte and their husbands are all signing up for 10km runs for Cancer Research in the Autumn!!!
**UPDATE: Well, it's done! We managed today's Race for Life in a fantastic time of 46 minutes and 20 seconds (not sure the incremental time saving can be repeated next year!) The little ones were fab and we didn't stop at all round the course (Libby and Charlotte are slightly concerned that they won't have the excuse of the children when it comes to the 10km in September!!) A huge thank you to everyone who supported us this year. (Although the boys managed to miss us at the finishing line as they were waiting for us half way round, after their cups of tea and bacon baps, and we were faster than they expected!!) **
