Story
My best friend lost her mummy 5 years ago when she was only 8.
My best friend is called Georgie, we have known each other all our lives and have been like sisters to each other, we help each other through the good and bad times, but this was such a bad time that not even a best friend could help you through, but I knew I had to try. Georgie has two sisters, one who is 2 years younger called Hettie and one who is 3 years older called Bella Since Georgie was such a close friend of mine I developed a relationship with her mum, Wendy. Wendy was like an auntie to me. I knew I could go to her for anything. When
Georgie and I were only 7 Wendy had been diagnosed with cancer. As you can guess Georgie, Hettie and I were too young to understand what was happening, all we knew was that someone we all loved was not going to be around for much longer. My friend’s world was falling apart.
Wendy’s death affected us all, she was much loved, but 3 little girls lost their mother and a husband lost his wife, and there is no greater pain than that. This happens to people all over the world every day. So please, dig deep and help prevent anyone else to have the feeling of emptiness and loss.
