Every little bit counts.

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.
As a charity, Cancer Research UK rely overwhelmingly on the success of fundraising events such as Race for Life to continue our life-saving research into the prevention, treatment and cure of all forms of cancer.
I feel extremely strongly about this cause as my mother, Joan, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1999. This was a complete shock as she doesn't drink or smoke and is the healthiest person i have ever met but this proves that cancer can happen to anyone. After losing her hair and her independence, she completed chemotherapy and had a mastectomy. Fortunately, she has come through this experience and i think we all learned what an amazing woman she is and just how many people love her. So this is for my slightly crazy, but wonderful mother.
The picture on the left is taken at her 50th birthday party (i am quite drunk by the way). She doesn't like being in the spotlight but she wanted to say thank you to everyone for being so kind during the past year. Instead of presents, she asked for donations to be made to cancer research. Over £250 was raised.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cancer Research UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
