Well we did it. A great day with thousands of fantasic people all raising money for this wonderful cause. The weather wasn't great but the spirit got us through. Once again thank you so much to all those who gave so generously of money and of time. Christine made us proud with a brilliant speech the really brought home the reality of living with cancer. Much love to you all...............YOU ROCK!!! x

It is said that every body knows someone with cancer or someone who has been affected by this awful thing. We all know how terrible it is and can only imagine what it is like to be told you have cancer. I got a phone call from a friend who calmly told me she had cancer and was starting the biggest battle of her life. She did not cry....I DID!!!

Christine's positive attitude to the huge trial ahead of her was so inspiring to me and many of her friends, I felt that in some small way I wanted to show support to her and all those who WILL come after her suffering from this vile disease the only way i know how. Christine has been there year after year supporting the race for life, starting it off and raising its profile in the area as our lovely local Calendar news girl (or should i say lady!!). Never knowing that one day she would be in a race for her own life.
