We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer

Story

Thank you for visiting my Race for Life sponsorship page. Please sponsor me online – it’s quick, easy and totally secure.

Events like Race for Life are vital in funding Cancer Research UK’s life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. By sponsoring me now you can help more people survive cancer.  My mum died in 1995 of pancreatic cancer.  It's still one of the hardest cancers to survive, but progress in treatment means that  today she might have had a chance, if diagnosed early enough.   Very few of us can say that we haven't lost someone to cancer, or don't know someone who's fighting it now, or who has survived it.  I'll be running in memory of my mum, and of Dorrie, Jos and Penny who didn't make it.  In celebration of Sue, Bev and Hilary who did.   And in hope for Nigel, Sarah and Isabelle who are fighting cancer now.

Gift Aid it!

If you are a UK taxpayer, please remember to tick the Gift Aid box when donating so that an extra 25%, plus a 3% supplement, can be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Every pound you donate really does make a difference – so please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support – Together we will beat cancer.
