I am doing the Race for Life this year for lots of reasons but firstly I want to do it to raise money for Cancer Research UK's work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. By sponsoring me your money will help more people survive cancer. 

Cancer Research UK is a charity I hugely admire and the race is giving me a great focus and motivation to get fitter and healthier. 

In truth though the main reason for wanting to be healthy is that I want to be a good role model for my little boy and just to be around for as long as possible to look after him!
