My step-mum, Tia's nana, is currently suffering from cancer, she has been told that further treatment is futile as her cancer is aggressive and has spread too far now. Participating in this event is Tia's idea and I'm so proud of her for it (she's 10) 

My step-mum is frightened her time is running out and wants to live her life again, I feel so helpless and really wish I could change things for her. 

This year we are participating as recognition to the effect cancer has on individuals and families, us included.
