Story
Dear all,
I managed the 10k run today, despite looking lustfully at the 5k option as I staggered on...
A bzillion thank yous to those who have or are about to sponsor me. According to the over-excited event organiser, today's event alone will raise at least £400,000 for cancer research. It was an amazing run; everyone was running for someone and all for a common cause, so it was a bit emotional.
I shall try to upload a picture of me running so you believe I did it, although the pictures are a bit small so it could be anyone. I do have the medal though, along with a blister and a sore toe. So there you go.
For those of you thinking of sponsoring me now, I should point out that although 10k isn't that far, I am deeply unsporty, so it wasn't a walk in the park (more like a jog to the sound of deep breathing in the manner of a dodgy phone call made by an asthma sufferer). I did it primarily for my mummy who has beaten breast cancer twice, but also for all of your friends and relatives who have suffered from cancer.
Gift Aid it!
