Story
ReWild Our World
In honour of what would have been Gerald Durrell's 100th birthday Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust has launched their 'Rewild our World Strategy' which aims to create a wilder, healthier, more colourful world.
As part of this strategy by 2025 they aim to connect 1,000,000 people back to nature.
I am looking to inspire as many individuals as possible to get outdoors and to get active, immersing themselves in nature on our beautiful island.
The Project
I am saddened to hear the phrase 'there is nothing to do' repeated so often when we have so much available to us on our doorstep.
Over the month of July I am challenging myself to do 31 different activities over 31 days - Get your adventure kit on and come join me on an activity of your choice, don't miss out, watch this space!
Want to find out more about the various activities?

Or come along to the 'Connect with Nature' themed Durrell at Dusk on the 3rd August where you will have the opportunity to engage with all the different activity specialists, clubs and businesses.
The Background
To me outdoor activities are so much more beneficial than the facts that support them. They have lead me to places I would never imagined and to share in experiences better than that of my wildest dreams.
Thus is the reason why I come to you today. I want to open the eyes of as many people as possible starting with those in Jersey, to the opportunities on their door step. I want to rewild the people, re-establishing a powerful connection between individuals of all ages and the great outdoors.
