Story

Despite not owning a bike I have signed up to take part in a 24 hour Cycling Challenge on the 8th & 9th November 2012.

Along with another 850 colleagues at work, we will aim to cycle the same distance as twice around the equator to raise much needed funds for Save the Children.

I have been training over the past month to make sure I can cycle my 4 hour slot (with no sleep!) and have purchased some necessities for the event (a gel seat is a must!)

All the money I raise will be matched by Lloyds Banking Group and will be used by FAST (Families And Schools Together) - an initiative by Save the Children which works with the poorest children in communities across the UK to get a chance to succeed in school and get a job with prospects, setting them up for a better future.

To watch a short film on the work they're supporting, click here: http://www.savethechildren.org.uk/en/fast.htm

On behalf of both myself, my team and Save the Children, thank you so much for any support you're able to give - every bit helps.
