We support children with serious conditions to enjoy time together with their families

Story

Caring for a child who has a life-limiting illness or who has a serious medical condition can be a very demanding experience for all members of the family. And losing that child can be devastating. Demelza Hospice Care for Children offers families care and support, helping them through this sad and difficult time.

Demelza provides respite, symptom control, end-of-life care and bereavement support for 600 life-limited children and their families per year. The Care Team, led by children's specialist palliative care nurses, make the most of every moment that the child spends at Demelza House.

At the end of the child's illness, they offer a comprehensive service of support using a bereavement suite, which enables a family to 'let go' and say goodbye at their own pace.

I started the 30 day yoga challenge on the 20th September 2010. It involves me doing 1.5 hours of hot yoga a day, which is 45 rigorous hours over the next 30 days.  Please sponsor me in completing the challenge to raise money to keep the hospice running.
