Story

Be part of the re-planting!

In honor of the wonderful 500 year of the Whiteleaved Oak that was consumed by fire in July,  please help me raise £500 to re-pant new oak saplings.

See the full story on damage to the tree

All money will go directly to THE NATIONAL FOREST COMPANY who will be able to plant oak saplings amongst there other native woodland planting.

One of their team explains:

'A mixed species woodland is much more resilient to pests and diseases and better for biodiversity. We would distribute them {oak} throughout new planting.'

The National Forest

Planting trees with an organisation like this allows the trees to be cared for and managed effectively, insuring they can thrive into the future. Perhaps even one or two will make it another 500 years.
