Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Inspired by the #WalkAllOverCancer initiative created by Cancer Research which is encouraging people all over the UK to do 10,000 steps a day in March, I wanted to take things a step further and do some real good.
As a busy self-employed dad of four, I've already been working out daily through lockdown but I'm committed to tripling my daily workouts, fitting in step counting around my marketing
clients, to ensure I achieve a minimum of 16,129 steps every day of March.
Making time is the biggest challenge! Just like a chunky marketing project, you need to break it down and work steadily and consistently at it. 500k steps in a month is quite something and it's going to require an effort each day to get it done!
I've chosen East Cheshire Hospice (again) as they provide essential end of life care to patients with cancer and other conditions.
After the year we’ve had and the focus being predominantly on Covid and Brexit, I imagine support for smaller charities has dwindled as people simply can’t get out and about. I saw an opportunity with #WalkAllOverCancer to do something positive.
East Cheshire Hospice is a special place for my family (Clare's dad went there years before we met) and it made sense to link the two together.
