27^th June 2008 update

Well its night before and I am feeling decidedly more confident compared to when I signed up for this a few months back. My admittedly not so structured training may have been minimal and a little crash course, but I did reach the 4 mile mark, so I'm thinking that last 2.5 more shouldn't be too horrible tomorrow.

I'm feeling a lot happier to know I've found my ipod! Whoo hoo! So if I get left behind and have no one to talk to there's 5 hours of my favourite podcast saved up, and even I should be able to finish in 5 hours!

I keep picturing the scene in the film Run Fatboy Run, where everyone else has ran off, its dark, and he's hobbling along on his own. That's me that is. That will be me tomorrow I bet! Lost knackered, and wandering the streets in the middle of the night! We shall see. Wish me luck. There's still time to donate to this worthy cause, all welcome, spread the word and the weblink. For those of you that can not make it along to laugh at me (I mean, cheer me along) I hope to write again after the event - if I survive!

For some mad reason (aka a bloomin' good cause) I have volunteered for a 6 mile walk around Leicester City Centre wearing pyjamas and a bright pink tee, in the middle of the night, when the drinkers will be out in force.  I'm so fit  (not) that I'll probably pass out from the distance alone, but it looks a like it should be fun and this charity needs and deserves the support. So if I can endure this (and hopefully survive) you can pledge a couple of quid on the off chance I live to tell the tale!
