Our lovely mum, Sue Owen, tragically passed away on the 8th of November this year. After mum passed away, we discovered that she had a rare soft tissue cancer called Sarcoma which had not been detected. Mum passed away suddenly and unexpectedly and we didn’t get to say goodbye.

Sarcoma is not well known, very difficult to detect, and so, very difficult to treat, because it often develops, undetected, over a longer period of time. I want people to know what Sarcoma is so that they can ask their doctor about it if they develop a lump themselves, especially if it is growing quickly. 

We are making autumn leaf badges for friends to wear to remember mum and to raise awareness of Sarcoma. Mum passed away in the autumn when the autumn leaves were beautiful colours and this reflects her happy, vibrant life. 

We are asking friends to donate £3 per badge, 100% of this money will go to Sarcoma UK to fund research into Sarcoma and to develop their campaigns. You can find out more about Sarcoma at Sarcoma.org.uk.
