Story

On a normal day in June 2022 a phone call came that started the journey none of us expected to be on. My brother Mark was diagnosed with a brain tumour which turned out to be secondary to lung cancer. The Christie helped him fight , and we thought he was winning but sadly in December 2022 we got the news that he had three new tumours and the only thing we had left to do was make some memories.

Mark passed away in February 2023 at the age of 47.

We are forever grateful to the Christie for their care and expertise during this awful time. We know that all that could be done was done.

In memory of Mark , our mum Linda , his nephew Finley and me his sister will set about trying to achieve The Christie Challenge to help raise some money for them to continue the vital work they do.

Mark will be forever missed , and always remembered

The Christie charity provides enhanced services over and above what the NHS funds for more than 44,000 cancer patients treated at The Christie every year. Your support can help us to fund life-changing and potentially life-saving projects that will benefit cancer patients both now and in the future.
