Story

Rascal lost his battle with cancer on March 20, 2023.

He will be greatly missed by our ALC/LVMA families and especially by Paul Miller, Zhong Shi, founder of ALC/LVMA.

Rascal was bred, raised and trained through The Seeing Eye® in Morristown, NJ. Their mission is to enhance the independence, dignity, and self-confidence of people who are blind and visually impaired.

ALC/LVMA is raising money to name a Seeing Eye puppy in Rascal's honor. Donations can be made here or checks made out to The Seeing Eye can be dropped off at your ALC/LVMA office by the end of the day Monday, April 10. This online fundraiser will remain open past that date. You can also donate directly through www.seeingeye.org. Donations made in loving memory of Rascal will help support another amazing partnership like theirs.

About the charity

The Seeing Eye's mission is to enhance the independence, dignity and self-confidence of people who are blind, through the use of specially trained Seeing Eye® dogs. In pursuit of this mission, The Seeing Eye breeds and raises puppies to become Seeing Eye dogs, trains Seeing Eye dogs to guide blind people, instructs blind people in the proper use, handling, and care of the dogs and conducts and supports research on canine health and development.
