Story
In March 2013, my siblings and I lost our dad.
He was just 66, in great health and full of life, energy and ambition. He was taken from us without any warning, succumbing to a fatal heart attack on a cold, bright Monday morning as he exercised at home.
He leaves behind countless friends, colleagues and relatives, including a devoted wife and three loving children who, while grateful for everything he has given them over the years, are devastated to have lost him so early in their lives.
Fit and active his whole life, our dad was a longtime supporter and Trustee of Kidscan, a fantastic charity helping to develop treatments and cures for cancer amongst children.
To honour his memory, my siblings and I have decided to take part in the Great Manchester Run, an event that our dad took part in himself to raise money for the same charity and something that we are proud to be able to do in his name.
Anything you can spare would be much appreciated and would not only support us in paying tribute to our dad, but would play a part in helping to provide a future for children battling against cancer.
Thank you for your support.
