Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In 2008 we were given the devastating news that our daughter, Emma had cancer. After more investigation we were told that it was neuroblastoma a rare cancer which affects children.
She underwent intense treatment involving chemotherapy, surgery and radiotherapy. Just when we thought she had beaten it the cancer returned and there was nothing more that could be done. On 23rd September 2009 Emma passed away.
She was a brave girl loved by many and I owe it to her to raise money so we can research this cancer and try to find a cure. More children have been diagnosed with neuroblastoma since Emma was first diagnosed and this was supposed to be a rare cancer.
As Emma was a girly girl and very much into anything pink I will dress as a pink fairy for the Great North Run if I raise £300. So please donate to help us understand how this disease can effect so many children and to get closer to a cure.
