Story
Mrs Ellen Ogunsanya, a mother to three children and a grandmother lived a beautiful life loving her family and everyone that crossed path with her. She worked for the national health service for over 35 years. During her career, she was a nurse, midwife and health visitor and prided herself in providing the best care for her patients and serving a community. She surely will be missed.
One of the last active charitable activities our mum was involved in was taking part in 'race for life' in 2015 to raise money for Cancer research. Unfortunately, two months later our mum herself received the diagnosis. Mum was very strong and fought hard. During a very difficult 19 months, she received excellent care and treatment which was likely to have extended her life. Despite this most challenging period of her life, our mum was able to experience many moments of joy with family and friends. She kept her faith strong and was positive through it all.
In honour and memory of our mother, we will like to raise funds for Cancer research. With continued research into cancer treatments; future life saving and extending novel therapies could be developed. Many thanks for your donation to help support such an important cause.
