On the 20th of November 2011, 20.11.2011 after a short battle with Cancer my Nan passed away.

We all know how terrible this disease can be but if you taken into consideration 6 months earlier she had no idea she was even ill, it has made us all even more aware of how fast it really can take someone.

The more research we do into Cancer the more hope we have of beating it one day once and for all, if not that then at least in funding the research this may allow us to spend a bit more time with those fighting the battle and we all know how priceless that truly is.  Personally this is always something I felt I was robbed of when it came to losing my Nan.

Cancer is something that effects everyone so it makes me very proud to raise money for Cancer Research, My Dad also has cancer and has done for several years now and I truly believe if it wasn't for Cancer Research and those fantastic doctors & nurses at the hospital he too would have been someone else I lost precious time with and this is something I thank my lucky stars for every single day. Of course I will continue to keep my fingers crossed for him but everyday is a bonus and I will continue to be grateful for his presence even though I don't always show it.

My challenge is to take part in as many sponsored/donated events as possible to raise £2011 for Cancer Charity's by 20.11.2016 to mark the 5th year of my Nan's passing because even though she is no longer with us I am determined for her to still have a positive impact in the lives of others as she did so fantastically in mine.

"Nan I truly was blessed for having you in my life and I love you more now than ever!"

The total raised will be finalised at midnight on the 19th of November at a party in her honor!

Please keep reading the feeds to find out what I have been up to!

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.
