Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My Granny passed away last Christmas, and at the time, my family were planning to do something great in 2020 (weren't we all) to fundraise for Northern Ireland Hospice in her honour.
I was so close to my Granny. She was one of our NHS Heroes all her life and devoted her time to caring for others. She made the most amazing dinners and I devote my love of baking and cookery largely to her influence (her lemon meringue pies were AMAZING). She encouraged me to travel and move to Toronto as she thought it was the cleanest city in the world (she wasn't wrong).
The Northern Ireland Hospice team was amazing when it came to helping us care for my Granny in her last months with us. We felt the ongoing support of the charity and were able to rely on them for support when in our greatest hour of need.
This fundraising is a thank you to the charity for all the team's hard work and something of a repayment for everything done for my family. From being able to lift the phone and ask about medications, to medical professionals coming out and helping – it was so greatly appreciated.
This '200 days of exercise' challenge comprises of a minimum of 30 minutes of exercise every day until 12th February 2021 – the final day! Exercise can be anything that gets me moving and working out.
I have already completed 100 days of the challenge and decided to do the next 100 for charity. So far, the bulk of my exercise has comprised of weightlifting, HIIT, yoga, hiking, dog walking, swimming and coasteering (anything varied that I can manage in lockdown).
So, thank you for reading this far and for taking interest in my fundraising. I'd be absolutely grateful for anything you can spare towards my target, I know it's a tough time for us all.
