Story
On the 15th December, we received the heartbreaking news that my brother, Simon had sadly passed away at his home, in his bed, with his beloved dog Sasha by his side.
Myself and my mum have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support from our family and friends since Simon passed away. Unfortunately, neither me or mum were in a position to take in Simon’s dog, mainly due to her size (48 kilos) and her medical needs. The Rescue Hotel (Cardiff Dogs Home) took Sasha in, nursed her to health and have found her a loving end of life foster home where she can live out the end of her days surrounded by love, in warmth and comfort.
The staff we met at the centre were extremely kind, caring and always kept us at the heart of any decisions that were made regarding Sasha’s care. We are forever grateful to them for all they have done for Sasha.
In lieu of flowers, we are asking for donations to be made to this extremely worthy charity.
We know that Simon would have been happy with our choice to raise much needed funds for all of the dogs they take in at The Rescue Hotel.
REST PEACEFULLY SIMON xx
