Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit this JustGiving page for Manjit.
The page has been set up to allow family, friends and neighbours to honour the life of Manjit Bilon who sadly passed away on the 14th of February.
Manjit’s love for children is embodied in his special relationship with his two sons, Harkirit and Harsimrit.
From a young age he played an influential role in the upbringing of his nieces and nephews - all of whom have felt like one of Manjit’s own sons and daughters since birth.
In his teenage years he would return home every lunchtime to feed and change his nieces and nephews before heading back to school.
This past Christmas, Manjit was deeply moved by Marcus Rashford’s documentary on tackling child food poverty.
In Rashford, Manjit saw his fundamental beliefs embodied in the sport he loved so much, spearheaded by a sportsman from the team he adored throughout his life.
In light of this and the challenges faced by so many throughout the course of the pandemic, we invite you to make a donation to Fareshare - the charity endorsed by Marcus Rashford.
The thought of any child going hungry is something that greatly troubled Manjit. If he could, he would feed them all !
Manjit was an active member of the Richings Park community, regularly giving his time to support the Gardening Club and improve the village surroundings for all of us. He was a friendly face always willing to lend a helping hand.
