This page is for Ella's Fund for the Teenage Cancer Trust. Ella Redman died from bone cancer in November 2012 after an 18 month fight against the disease, which included over 100 nights spent in hospitals in Bristol and Oxford.
Although Ella lost her battle many young people do not and go on to lead long lives. Ella was passionate about promoting research into cancers that are common amongst young people and improving the facilities available for their treatment.
The Teenage Cancer Trust is the only UK charity dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for young people with cancer aged between 13 and 24. It builds specialist units within NHS hospitals, bringing young people together to be treated by teenage cancer experts in a place designed just for them. The trust wants every young person with cancer to have access to this specialist support, no matter where they live.
