We are moving further, faster to help everyone affected by a brain tumour

Story

Our beautiful, brave and inspirational mum, Carol Gartside, passed away peacefully on 28 January 2018, six months after being diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour.

She is very much missed by all her family and friends.  We are all still trying to adjust to life without her as she left a huge hole in the heart of our family.

On the afternoon of Saturday 27 October 2018, family and friends are getting together to go on a walk, in Mum's memory, with the aim of raising some money whilst enjoying a gentle stroll in the surroundings that she loved so much.

We are collecting donations for the Brain Tumour Charity.  They provided us with very helpful information at the hospital and in the weeks after Mum's diagnosis.  One of their aims is to diagnose tumours earlier, and more accurately, and to develop safe and effective treatments. We hope that by contributing to the funding for this research that we can help other families who will also be travelling along this road in the future.
