Story
We are cycling from John O'Groats to Land's End to raise as much money as possible for The Brain Tumour Charity.
Our brains are incredible. They are what makes us who we are, but sadly they aren't immune to harm. Brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer of children and adults under 40. 30 people are diagnosed each day, and just 19% of adults survive for five years after diagnosis. Despite this, less than 2% of the £500million spent on cancer research each year is spent on brain tumours.
The team at Relec are committed to making a difference to everyone affected by a brain tumour, and in June 2018, our Sales Director John and his partner Lesley will take on the huge challenge of cycling over 1000 miles from John O'Groats to Land's End. Together, they will cycle over 80 miles each day, tackling gruelling terrain and bravely facing whatever the weather throws at them.
We plan to visit The Brain Tumour Charity’s research facilities in Edinburgh and Newcastle along the way, as well as our key customers who are all renowned for their generosity! We would also like to encourage friends, family, customers and suppliers to join us. You can come along for a few miles, a day or even do the whole thing – the more the merrier. If cycling isn’t your thing it would still be great to see you by the side of the road or in the pub at the end of each day.
