A family member, a friend, a neighbour, a work colleague...
We all know someone who has been affected by cancer. With this in mind, a group of us are cycling from Sale to Barnsley ( a distance of about 50 miles) on 10th May to raise funds for Cancer Research UK. We all have our own reasons for wanting to do it ,but in particular many of us have been inspired by Joyce Spencer, the Headteacher of Springfield Primary School in Sale. Many of us teach or taught there and all of us owe a great deal to Joyce. An inspirational leader who has never settled for anything less than the very best for the children in her charge, Joyce was first diagnosed with cancer several years ago. Last year the cancer returned and we decided that we would like to do something about it. EVERY penny that you give makes a difference and allows Cancer Research to continue its work agains this horrible, cowardly disease. Please give what you can and accept our very sincere thanks.

As a further strand in the reJOYCE! campaign Helen Halsall is off running. As well as offering support to the cyclists, she is attempting to run two marathons in three days in the Outer Hebrides. She is tackling the Lewis marathon on 24/5 and two days later the Harris marathon. Crackers I know ,but another excuse for you to give generously!
KEEP ON KEEPING ON!
