Story

It’s Rudy the Reindeer here from the North Pole to talk about a very special mission Santa has set me this year. This year, I have teamed up with Lincolnshire’s Education Business Partnership to help Reepham CE Primary School to host their very own Rudy’s Run event in support of St Barnabas Hospice! This event will take place throughout the school day on Tuesday 15th December.

Rudy’s Run is all about school children having festive and educational fun whilst raising much needed funds for St Barnabas Hospice.

I am sending each child  a free pair of antlers and red nose to wear as they run, walk or prance the Rudy’s Run route. They can even keep
them for family festivities at home! I have sent Reepham CE Primary School a Santa suit for one lucky teacher to wear whilst keeping the reindeers in formation!

St Barnabas Hospice is renowned for its outstanding end-of-life care for adults, but they also provide pre and post bereavement support for families too. This invaluable support is free for anyone in Lincolnshire who is struggling with loss, and more work is being done right now at St Barnabas to create a specialist bereavement service for children as young as five.

Losing a parent, sibling or grandparent can be extremely traumatic for a child, but it is something which one in thirty children are going through each day. Rudy’s Run has been designed to highlight our bereavement support and to continue funding it throughout our toughest year to date.

Reepham CE Primary School has set up a JustGiving page to
collect sponsorship money from family, friends and supporters. I would be so grateful if you would consider sponsoring your child and sharing the link to help out such a wonderful hospice.

Visit https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/reephamreindeerrun to donate whatever you can.

Rudy’s Run is all about inclusivity and will be a great way for the children to work together as a school family and make a real difference to people across Lincolnshire who use the hospice services.

I hope you will support our children in this fundraising event.

Rest assured, all 'prancing' will be kept within class bubbles.

Got to dash now – Santa is calling me for flying practice!

Best wishes,

Rudy
