Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This year, I will be taking part in a charity skydive on Friday 30th August 2019 in Bridlington, East Yorkshire.
I am diving and raising money in memory of my late father Sucha Singh who sadly lost his battle with blood cancer at the age of 56 on 10th May 2019. He was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia (CLL) in 2012 and went into remission for several years. In July 2018 he was diagnosed with high grade non-Hodgkin lymphoma which turned aggressive extremely quickly. We were told he only had 2 months to live, however he lived for 10 months undergoing 8 rounds of 3 different types of treatments.
My father was a very loved and popular man in not only the Sikh circle but in the community, where he ran his business for 40 years. My father was a big character and touched the hearts of many wherever he went and always put others before him. He was a strong fighter and was determined to take on any treatment/clinical trail available.
Over 1 in 3 people will be affected by cancer at some point in their lives and I want to raise awareness and money so hopefully one day, we can cure cancer once and for all.
100% of donations go directly to Cancer Research UK in preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. The cost of the skydive is a personal contribution.
