Story
Rob and Matt's Dad was diagnosed with MDS in 2015. MDS is a group of malignant blood disorders in which the bone marrow fails to produce healthy blood cells. It is a form of bone marrow cancer and treatments range from medication such as EPO to blood transfusions. In the long term, a stem cell transplant (bone marrow transplant) can offer the chance of curing the disease.
The MDS UK Patient Support Group aim to raise awareness of MDS, offer support and information to patient and families and campaign to increase the quality of life and make treatments available to those affected by MDS.
As well as raising money for this brilliant charity, we will also be encouraging people to have a look at The Anthony Nolan Trust, and consider joining their register to donate stem cells.
Any level of support is hugely appreciated, however large or small, and come and cheer us along on the 27th August from 5pm. We'll be live on our Twitch channel and also on our Facebook page.
We'll be setting challenges, forfeights and a load of other fun things to raise money, as well as donating all of the money we recieve from Twitch Subs during the stream.
