Twelve of us from the Reed LTHT Staff Bank will be running 999 km throughout the month of May in order to raise money for the charity Leeds Cares.

Leeds Cares is the official charity partner of the Leeds Teaching Hospitals and donations will be used to support Leeds NHS Staff to deliver high-quality care to patients and their families, something particularly important during this challenging time.

We'll be running, cycling or walking to reach the 999km total by the end of May, and any support would be greatly appreciated!

The Leeds hospitals are run by 18,000 dedicated staff, from doctors and nurses to porters and cleaners, who are all working together to provide the best possible care for patients and their families at this difficult time.

£10 could pay for a comfort pack for staff who have to stay overnight at short notice. 

£50 could stock up a snack area for staff working long hours. 

£80 could pay for a hotel room for staff who need to stay close by or isolate from their families to keep working. 

£200 could pay for an iPad for patients supporting education of children and providing vital connections to loved ones.
