Story
I'm running the EnduranceLife Exmoor Half Marathon in June to raise money for the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC). This challenging and technical event will see me take part in the hardest / toughest trail running event held by EnduranceLife. I have witnessed first hand the great work the RNRMC does on a daily basis within the Royal Navy and for that I am truly grateful to them for their fantastic work.
The RNRMC exists to support Sailors, Marines and their families for life! Whether serving or a veteran of the Royal Navy the RNRMC has four key aims to support all service personnel.
Through Life - They help throughout life and channel their funds to where it is identified. This can be from elderly care, through to mental health provision for children's charities.
Fit for Life - Delivering sporting capability through their Naval Service Sports Charity. By doing so they improve morale and support the "NavyFit" campaign and maintain the diversity and vitality of all their sporting associations.
Quality of Life - Focusing on the serving community they put junior rates, other ranks and their families at the top of their agenda. Outcomes have demonstrated improvements to the lives of those in uniform and their families
End of Life - When the worst happens and a loved one dies while serving the RNRMC provide immediate and unquestioned financial assistance.
